Scalping Knife: This knife wields a 5 13/16 x 1 7/16’’ Black Obsidian blade that has been hafted with pine pitch and moose sinew to a 5 1/4’’ deer antler handle. The total length is 10 1/2’’.

Scalping Knives were commonly used by the majority of Tribes and thrived on the Plains, where young warriors sought to take a piece of the victory home in order to share the success with the Village upon their arrival. For this knife, horse hair is the trophy.

This knife's blade is modelled after an actual one used in the 1800's.
